Wendepunkte significa punti di svolta in tedesco. Ognuno di noi ha un passato caratterizzato da vari punti di svolta. Un punto di svolta può essere ricercato ma il più delle volte sembra casuale ed immotivato. È con il tempo che tutto si giustifica e se ne esce, solitamente, evoluti.
Il 2016 è stato l’anno del mio wendepunkt. Da allora la mia musica e la mia arte visuale si è incentrata sul descrivere tutte quelle situazioni che potessero rappresentare momenti di trasformazione e cambiamento.
Nel 2016 stava già crollando tutto. Le persone attorno a me sembravano non accorgersi di niente. Per esprimere questo semplice concetto ho preso in mano la tecnologia più popolare, un iPhone, e l’ho messa in “difficoltà”, anziché sfruttarne le potenzialità. Così è nata l’idea del “Crumbling World”.
Queste immagini nascono grazie all’utilizzo dell’impostazione panoramica presente sugli iPhone, grazie alla quale creo la loro caratteristica distorsione senza alcuna manipolazione di programmi di editing fotografico.
Quale supporto e cornice ho quindi deciso di sfruttare la forma ad oggi più popolare, intesa come una finestra tecnologica attraverso la quale percepiamo il mondo ogni giorno, ma descritto dal punto di vista di Wendepunkte.

Wendepunkte means turning points in German. Everybody has many turning points in their lives. A turning point can be provoked but most of the time it happens accidentally and apparently without any reason, although with the passing of time our minds, usually, find a meaning. Developing this awareness gives us the chance to evolve.
2016 was my turning point year when my life radically changed. Since then my music and visual art have been focused on situations that represent moments of change and transformation.
In 2016, the world was already collapsing but nobody around me seemed aware of it. In order to express this simple concept I took the most popular technology available, an iPhone, and put it in distress, instead of using its potential. The idea of the “crumbling world” was born.
These images are created just by manipulating the pano-feature of the iPhone, not to capture the perfect shot, but to distort the image without the use of photoshop or additional editing.
As a framing element they are enclosed in the most popular shapes of our time. The frame of technology is the window through which we now perceive the world, but Wendepunkte displays a new perspective.
